The Institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) offer interested parties from both the corporate and public sectors a wide range of one-off professional services based on their cutting-edge research and long-standing experience. These include analyses, measurements, assessments, solution proposals, feasibility verification, and expert consultations.
These services are provided on the basis of individual agreements and can be used by companies as well as public and state institutions seeking a reliable partner with access to modern laboratory equipment and expertise in various scientific fields.
The SAS Technology Transfer Office (TTO SAS):
- will advise you on which consulting service offered by SAS organizations is suitable for addressing your request,
- will verify the current workload and availability of the service,
- will connect you with the department of the relevant SAS organization that provides the service,
- will be available, if needed, to help resolve any questions that may arise during the provision of the service.

Surveys of values, attitudes, and beliefs
Quantitative macro-surveying of values, attitudes, and beliefs according to client needs — applicable in policymaking, strengthening social cohesion, conflict prevention, marketing, etc. (e.g., World Values Survey for Slovakia).
Synthesis of target compounds in biocatalysis and organic synthesis
Custom synthesis of chiral esters, alcohols, glycosides, carbohydrates, and enzyme substrates.
Testing of the effects of pharmaceuticals and biomaterials
Testing the effects of pharmaceuticals and biomaterials on angiogenesis, gene expression, tumor and microbial diseases using the chicken chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model.
Trace element analysis (Zn, Mn, Fe, Cu) in biological material
Sample processing of biological materials — primarily blood or other biological samples — using wet mineralization, followed by trace element analysis via atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS).
Water quality analysis
Chemical and microbiological water analysis for households and companies. Results provided exclusively to the client.
Yeast Culture Collection (CCY) services
One of the biggest CCY in the middle Europe: Supply of yeast cultures for research and commercial purposes; long-term preservation of yeast strains; strain identification and characterization; taxonomic consulting, cultivation and storage consulting; International Depository Authority status for legally protected strains in Intellectual Property deals.
