The Institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) offer interested parties from both the corporate and public sectors a wide range of one-off professional services based on their cutting-edge research and long-standing experience. These include analyses, measurements, assessments, solution proposals, feasibility verification, and expert consultations.
These services are provided on the basis of individual agreements and can be used by companies as well as public and state institutions seeking a reliable partner with access to modern laboratory equipment and expertise in various scientific fields.
The SAS Technology Transfer Office (TTO SAS):
- will advise you on which consulting service offered by SAS organizations is suitable for addressing your request,
- will verify the current workload and availability of the service,
- will connect you with the department of the relevant SAS organization that provides the service,
- will be available, if needed, to help resolve any questions that may arise during the provision of the service.

Advanced electrochemical analyses
Linear and cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, chronopotentiometry, EIS, LPR; corrosion analysis and surface evaluation of metals.
AFM study of cell properties
2D/3D in vitro or tissue-sample imaging to study mechanical properties of cells; used to evaluate effects of substances on cells.
Analysis of chemical composition, microstructure, and surface properties of Li-ion battery electrodes
Cross-sectional chemical analysis using FIB/SEM, microstructure evaluation, and surface characterization before and after electrochemical cycling.
Analysis of material culture – historical and contemporary
Analysis and evaluation of material culture elements in cooperation with archaeologists and historians for preservation or presentation in museums (e.g., Poprad burial site). Applicable also for analysis of contemporary material culture in marketing contexts.

Consulting for film productions based on research of locations, identities, social environments, and material culture.

Consulting for placemaking, design, and architecture based on social data (e.g., design of user-friendly environments for seniors).
Consulting in preparative biocatalysis and organic synthesis
Comprehensive consulting for chemical and food industry; including development of new methods for production needs.
