The result of the new solution is a recipe and procedure for the preparation of biodegradable and compostable polymer material, the essence of which is a new compatibilizer that can be selected from the group of so-called liquid rubbers.
Competitive advantage
- the possibility of a significant reduction in material costs for the production of foils due to the incorporation of thermoplastic starch into the biodegradable polymer material and
- better mechanical properties, especially strength and Young’s modulus.
Use of technology
- The new solution can be used in the production of polymer materials, more precisely for the production of packaging films, as biodegradable polymer materials are able to replace polymers from fossil sources.
